That was part of the same video where they took the Roush up against the GT500.
The Roush almost and I believe would have taken the lotus had it not dumped the back tire in the dirt.

I seem that on TV. He is bashing the USA cars there a little (for him). he did compliment the Roush (a little).

The Roush was there, but the brakes do suck on the track and the lotus should have no problem out braking the Roush. I have problems with the Porsches, and BMWs when I race. Should be more then one lap also to really test.

Bottom line anyway is a Lotus and a Roush are two different cars.

He likes the Roush cars a lot from past pieces. The other two always say things like "That's M3 Money". And they are right to an extent.

But he bags on Shelbys and regular Mustangs like the plaque. I have even seen a few clips where they outright lied or got it wrong on what the car was, how much power it has, etc...

LOL...I saw this and was semi WOW'd...give the Lotus some props...the Roush out weighs the Lotus by close to a TON...the Lotus isn't big enough to comfortably seat your typical AMERICAN buttocks...hince I think the STIG is only about 5'4" and 145lbs...it was as Jeromy said...a David vs Goliath battle.

I demand a rematch! If the Roush hadn't gotten in the dirt as said earlier. It would've won.

+1...rematch with the track pak...it will stick in the corners and has the brakes to handle that track!

and it will still be the same result, Lotus wins everytime. The Lotus is lighter, more agile, and built for only one purpose, track time.

http://www.ccrscca.com/results/BlueR...lclimb2005.htm Bottom of page has overall. I was just out of top 10. :^(
It was raining that weekend, so some times were much faster than others. Best times were both in the dry. He ran more runs, but I didn't like running in the rain on a 2 lane county road up a mountain. Slower times were with wet road, but not pouring. Fastest part was over 80 mph. Again, posted 35. Closed Course, BTW!

I think the guy who drove the Roush could have done a bit better.

The Roush came in just behind the Lotus. I think a TrakPak could take it.
