Other than the ramps and jack, these are the needed tools. Note the rear O2 sensors on the left are color coded

Tools for the job. There wasn't a whole lot needed, but the right combination of extensions and swivels takes a bit of work.

The above mpegs show that there is not much of a change in sound. There is a bit of a higher pitch when the engine is under load, but at idle it sounds about the same. When the engine is under load, it sounds much better than stock. I think if I were to change out the mufflers, I would have the sound I am looking for.

Summary

The Bassani is a great addition. It would have been best if I could have gone to a dyno for a baseline before the installation, but I couldn't, so too bad... I am confident that the pipe has given me a couple extra horsies.

I think there is a subtle difference in the exhaust tone at idle, but the real difference comes in when the engine is under load. I think I had hoped that the X-pipe would add a little bit of tone at idle and normal driving. The exhaust on the Stage 2 sounds great in both of those situations. I think if I were to change mufflers, the X-pipe will give it a unique sound while under load.

I give this mod two thumbs up.
