Roush
Adds The 360R To Its Product Lineup
LIVONIA, Mich. -- Building on the impressive debut
of the Stage 3 Mustang, Jack Roush is adding another Mustang to
his stable: the 360R. Roush Performance, the street performance
division of Roush Industries, will introduce the 360R to the public
in March 2002.
This latest high performance vehicle from the Roush
Performance stable of products will cost $39,995 MSRP for the base
model. With the level of performance for the price, the 360R is
the fastest car under $40,000.
The Roush 360R steps back in time and features racing
stripes that visually and emotionally connect it with a strong
Mustang heritage. The 360R will be offered in two color combinations:
red with white stripes and white with blue stripes.
At the heart of this aesthetically pleasing car
is a 360 horsepower, 4.6-liter V-8 engine that features a Roush
engineered "Roots" supercharger; the same powertrain
that makes the Stage 3 so impressive. New up front on the 360R
will be upgraded 13" brakes with twin piston PBR calipers
and cross-drilled/slotted rotors. The 360R will retain from the
Stage 3 the front fascia and rear spoiler.
Optional components on the 360R will feature the
signature 17 and 18-inch Roush wheel and tire upgrades, a short
throw shifter, the Roush trunk tool kit, a 360R owner's kit with
car cover, leather jacket and seat belt sleeve. Other options include
the components that make up the Roush suspension package - Roush
engineered front and rear springs, specially valved front struts
and rear shocks, a tubular front sway bar and rear lower control
arms.
Job #1 for the Roush 360R will be February 11, 2002
at the Roush plant in Livonia, Mich.
